Audit log

See who created, changed, exported or deleted data in your workspace, and when.

Settings › Audit log lists the sensitive actions taken in your workspace: who did what, on which item, and when. It is read-only: nobody can edit or delete an entry from the app. Members with the "View audit log" permission can open it. By default, that is the Admin role.

What gets logged

The log records actions on your workspace's data, for example:

  • contacts created, changed, deleted, assigned to an agent, or erased following a GDPR request;
  • changes to bookings, such as a cancellation or a recorded outcome;
  • leads dismissed or restored, and meetings proposed to a lead;
  • team members deactivated or reactivated;
  • changes to role permissions;
  • changes to form settings, for one form or for every form at once;
  • automatic deletions, such as those of the nightly retention purge (see Privacy and GDPR).

Actions taken by Nudge itself (automatic processes) are shown with the user system.

Actions taken by the Nudge support team have their own record: see Support access.

Read the log

The log shows the most recent entries first, up to the latest 200. Each line has:

ColumnContent
ActionWhat happened: Created, Updated, Deleted, Exported, Accessed, Note added, Auto-deleted (retention)…
EntityThe type of item concerned: contact, booking, team member, role, form, workspace…

Click an entry with details to open Event details: the action, the entity, the user, the exact date and time, and the full details of the event.

  • Search logs... filters on the action, the entity type, the user and the details.
  • All actions narrows the list to one type of action.
  • All entities narrows the list to one type of item.

The filters apply to the entries loaded on the page.

Tips

  • After a GDPR erasure, check the log to keep a dated trace of the request being handled.
  • If a contact disappeared, filter on Deleted and on the contact entity to see who deleted it and when.
  • When a member leaves, look at their recent actions before switching their seat off (see Team and roles).
