Qualification

Decide who deserves a meeting. Score the answers that matter, set when the agent offers a call or a resource, rule out the visitors you cannot serve, and choose what each conversation should achieve.

How qualification works

The Website Agent does not offer a meeting to everyone. During the conversation it asks your form's questions, scores the answers with your qualification protocol, and acts on the score:

  • High score: it opens the calendar.
  • Medium score: it can offer a resource (a guide, a pricing page) and keeps qualifying.
  • Low score: it keeps asking its qualification questions.
  • Ruled out by an exclusion condition: it says once, politely, that the offer does not fit, and stops.

These decisions are made by Nudge from your rules, not improvised by the AI. A visitor who explicitly asks to book still gets the calendar, unless they are ruled out: a request is never refused because of a score.

Qualification is set per conversational form. Open the form from the Forms card of Agents › Website Agent.

The qualification protocol

In the form editor, on the Questions tab, the Qualification protocol row summarises your criteria ("3 criteria · up to 90 points"). Click Edit.

The protocol defines what makes a lead worth 90 rather than 70. Give points to the answers that matter to you; every lead of this form gets a score out of 100.

The questions that matter

Each question of the form appears with what you can score:

  • A choice question (single choice, multiple choice, dropdown): points for each answer.
  • A number: conditions such as More than, Less than or Equal to a value, each with its points. For example "More than 10,000 → +25".
  • A free answer: points when the answer Contains a word.

An answer without points does not change the score. If the form has no questions yet, add them first.

The contact

Points for what the contact says about themselves, whatever the questions: Work email or Personal email (Gmail…), Phone given or No phone, Company given. Points can be negative.

Exclusion conditions

An answer that rules the lead out, whatever its score. The protocol shows how many conditions you have; See opens them (see Disqualification below).

Simulate a lead

Next to the protocol, Simulate a lead lets you change the answers and see the score computed as for a real lead, with its tier: Hot, Warm or Cold. Nudge also shows the maximum score a lead can reach, and warns you when no lead can ever be hot (80): add points to your best answers.

Without a protocol, the score comes from an estimate made by Nudge's AI.

The scores you set here are also the lead scores your team sees in Contacts and Lead Scoring. See Sales.

Recommendation: call, resource or keep qualifying

The thresholds that turn the score into an action are in Settings › Forms, Per form, section Qualification, card Recommendation:

SettingDefaultEffect
Propose a call from80At or above this score, the calendar opens.
Propose a resource from50At or above this score (and below the call threshold), the agent offers the resource below once, and keeps qualifying.
Resource to proposenoneA Title and an Address (URL), for example "Pricing guide".

Below the resource threshold, the agent keeps asking its qualification questions. Without a resource, warm leads keep being qualified. Without scoring rules on the form, the recommendation does not apply and the calendar opens once the required answers are known.

Disqualification

Some visitors are not for you: too small, outside your area, looking for a job. Disqualification rules them out.

In Settings › Forms, Per form, section Qualification:

  • Add condition: pick a Field (a question of the form), an operator (equals, not equals, contains, greater than, less than, is one of) and a Value.
  • Logic: AND (all must match) or OR (any must match).
  • Disqualification message: what the visitor reads, for example "Sorry, you don't qualify for a call at this time."
  • Redirect URL (optional): where to send a disqualified visitor of a step-by-step form.

The message and the redirect can also be set once for the whole workspace (Whole workspace level); the conditions are always set per form, because they cite that form's questions.

In a conversation, a disqualified visitor:

  • never sees the calendar, even if they ask for it;
  • is not asked any more questions or contact details;
  • gets your disqualification message once, then the conversation ends politely. The agent still answers their questions.

A condition on a question the visitor has not answered yet counts for nothing: disqualification only happens on actual answers.

Use disqualification for hard limits only. For "less interesting" leads, lower their points instead: they still get a resource or more questions, and you keep the contact.

Assistant objectives

By default, a conversation aims to book a meeting. You can change what it should achieve, per conversational form, in Settings › Forms, Per form, section Conversation, card Assistant objectives.

A form has one Primary objective, which steers every exchange, and up to two Secondary objectives, offered only when the moment is right. Every objective reached is counted in the statistics.

Test before going live

In the form editor, Simulate a conversation plays a demo conversation scripted from your protocol, without the AI: pick a scenario (Very interested, Just curious, Asks the price, Not the target, Are you a bot?, Annoyed lead) and follow, turn by turn, the stage of the conversation, the lead profile, the qualification score and the link Nudge would recommend. Nothing is sent and nothing counts as a lead.
