Video conferencing
Add a Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Zoom link, or your own meeting link, to every meeting your agents book.
How meeting links work
Every meeting booked through Nudge can carry a video link. The link is added to the calendar invitation, to the confirmation sent to the prospect and to the brief your team receives.
Two settings decide which link a booking gets:
- The video tool chosen for the form. Each form has a Video conferencing setting in its scheduling settings: Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Custom link. Google Meet is the default. For the meetings the website agent books, you can also change it in Bookings › Availability, rule Video link. See Forms and scheduling.
- The host's own connection. The meeting is created with the account of the closer who hosts it. Each closer must have connected the matching provider. In the form settings, a Not connected badge and a warning appear next to a provider your account has not connected.
| Video link | What the host needs |
|---|---|
| Google Meet | A connected Google account (the same connection as Google Calendar). |
| Microsoft Teams | A connected Microsoft account (the same connection as Outlook). |
| Zoom | A connected Zoom account. |
| Custom link | Nothing: the same fixed link is used for every booking. |
No connection, no link
If the host has not connected the provider chosen for the form, the booking is still created, but without a video link. Make sure every closer who takes meetings has connected the right account.
Google Meet
Google Meet has no connection of its own: it comes with your Google connection.
Connect Google
In Integrations, click Connect on Google Meet (or Google Calendar). Approve with the Google account that has the same address as your Nudge account. See Calendars for the access requested.
Pick Google Meet
Set the form's Video conferencing to Google Meet (or, for the website agent, Bookings › Availability › Video link).
Nudge creates the calendar event and the Meet link in one go, in the host's Google Calendar. If the host's calendar provider is Microsoft, Nudge also puts a copy of the meeting, with the Meet link, in their Outlook calendar.
Microsoft Teams
Teams comes with your Microsoft connection.
Connect Microsoft
In Integrations, click Connect on Microsoft Teams (or Outlook). Approve with the Microsoft work or personal account that has the same address as your Nudge account. Nudge asks to read and write your calendar and to create Teams meetings for your bookings.
Pick Microsoft Teams
Set the form's Video conferencing to Microsoft Teams (or, for the website agent, Bookings › Availability › Video link).
Nudge creates a Teams meeting for each booking and adds its link to the event it writes in the host's calendar.
Creating Teams meetings requires a Microsoft account that is allowed to create online meetings. If your organization's Microsoft administrator restricts third-party apps, they may need to approve Nudge before you can connect.
Zoom
Connect Zoom
In Integrations, click Connect on Zoom, sign in to Zoom and approve. The access is fixed by Nudge's Zoom app: creating meetings and reading your basic Zoom profile.
Pick Zoom
Set the form's Video conferencing to Zoom (or, for the website agent, Bookings › Availability › Video link).
For each booking, Nudge creates a scheduled Zoom meeting under the host's account, with the booking's time and duration. The meeting lets participants join before the host, has no waiting room and is not recorded automatically. The link is added to the event in the host's calendar.
Zoom availability
If Zoom refuses the authorization for your account, use Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or a custom link in the meantime, and write to support@asknudge.ai.
Custom link
Choose Custom link when your team always meets in the same room (a permanent Zoom room, a Whereby link, a phone bridge). Paste it in the form's Meeting URL field: it is included in every booking confirmation for that form. No account connection is needed.
Disconnect a video tool
Open the tool's page in Integrations and click Disconnect. Only your own connection is removed. New meetings you host will no longer get a link from that provider; links already sent keep working, because the meetings themselves are not deleted.
Disconnecting Google or Microsoft also disconnects the matching calendar, since it is the same connection.
