Website Agent

The chat on your website that answers visitors from your own content, captures their details, qualifies them and books meetings on your team's calendars.

What the Website Agent does

The Website Agent is the conversation bar that Nudge adds to the bottom of your website. It talks with your visitors in real time and does three things:

  1. It answers from your site. Nudge reads your pages, documents and notes, and the agent answers with your words. It says nothing that your content does not say.
  2. It captures the lead. Once it understands what the visitor needs, it asks for their details (name, email, phone) in the conversation itself.
  3. It offers a slot. When the visitor is a good fit, it opens your closers' calendar inside the chat and the visitor books in a few clicks.

Everything it gathers lands in Nudge: the contact in Contacts, the meeting in Bookings, and the full conversation in Collection. The other agents build on it: the Nurturing Agent follows up the visitors who stop halfway, and the Handoff Agent briefs the closer before each meeting.

Start with this one

The Website Agent is the first agent to switch on. It captures the leads, and the Nurturing, Outreach and Handoff Agents rely on what it learns.

Where to find it

In the app, open Agents and select Website Agent. Its page has:

  • On your site: two lines, one per place the agent appears on your site.
    • Widget, the bar at the bottom of every page. Its status reads Live once the widget has been seen on your site, Not detected before that, or Blocked by CSP when your site's security policy prevents it from loading. Use Customise to open the appearance screen, Copy the snippet to copy the installation code, and the re-check button to test the installation again.
    • Booking form, a classic form for your Contact page: details first, then a time slot. Its status reads Installed or Not installed; Configure opens its editor.
  • Forms: the conversational and step-by-step forms of the workspace. The widget serves a conversational form; Shared settings opens the settings shared by all forms.
  • How it works and Before enabling (while the agent is not active yet): whether the widget has been detected on your site and how many pages Nudge has read.

The Shared memory tab of Agents holds what all your agents know: instructions, offers, sources and tone. See Knowledge base.

Enable, pause or resume

Click Enable the Website Agent to switch it on. From its page you can then Pause it and Resume it at any time.

While the agent is paused, the widget no longer appears on your site: the installation code stays in place, and the widget comes back as soon as you resume. Each change of status is recorded in the agent's activity, with who made it.

The widget also stops showing when your workspace has used its monthly conversation allowance or when your subscription is no longer active. See Account for plans and billing.

Set it up in five steps

Install the widget

Paste the installation code once on your site. See Installation, and Content Security Policy if your site uses one.

Set the tone and the facts

Fill in Offers (prices, lead times, area served…) and Tone (form of address, style, opening message).

Decide who deserves a call

Set your qualification protocol and, if needed, the answers that rule a visitor out. See Qualification.

Dress the widget and publish

Choose your accent colour, the assistant's name and the suggested questions, then click Publish. See Appearance.
